OUR STORY

double shot was founded by Priya Chopra, inspired by her own lived experience navigating the business world. Early in her entrepreneurial journey, she rarely saw East Indian women in boardrooms—an absence that shaped her vision and fueled her purpose.

Building her career without industry connections or inherited networks, Priya transformed challenge into opportunity, evolving her personal ambition into a mission: elevating diverse voices in spaces where they are historically underrepresented.

She is the founder and CEO of 1Milk2Sugars, an award-winning North American lifestyle PR agency, and double shot, leading a team of 70 across Montreal, Toronto, and New York City.

Her leadership has been recognized by Forbes Agency Council, Bloomberg Canada, Ernst & Young, and Chamber of Commerce. She is a four-time RBC Women of Influence nominee, two-time PR in Canada Women in Communications Award recipient, and was named Inspirational Leader of the Year by Canadian SME Magazine. In 2025, she became the only Canadian mentor for The PRNet’s BIPOC Mentorship Program.

Committed to mentoring the next generation, Priya has also established a scholarship in her name at her alma mater, Concordia University, supporting emerging talent and future changemakers.
